• To provide institutional contributions to development efforts by responding to the needs of the business world and society at local and national levels with an interactive approach, can be counted.

The objectives of the department are the main driving point of activities and programs. While following the curriculum with full integration, our primary focus is on education and instruction, followed by research, application, and service. This order is important as it will enhance the development of the curriculum and provide in-depth development in the discipline.

We aim to train creative and questioning graduates who have gained competence in identifying and solving problems with technological, economic, legal, and managerial aspects in business life, industry, public and non-profit environments, by conducting courses within our course programs, which we aim to constantly update by following sectoral developments with an interdisciplinary approach, in qualified physical conditions, using all kinds of technology and oriented towards practice. Another goal of ours is to take our place among the best business departments with an entrepreneurial, innovative, and sharing higher education institution identity, recognized for its academic and scientific achievements and quality of education and instruction in national and international fields.

Title to be Received by Graduates of the Program:

Students who successfully complete the program will receive the title of Business Administrator.

Employment Opportunities and Demand for Graduates:

There are two main options for Business Department graduates. The first is to start their own business, and the second is to work in an existing business. If they start their own business and succeed over time, they can employ other business graduates in their own business for the development and success of the business they have established.

A business graduate who wants to work in an existing business can work in different departments. These can be examined under three main headings as production, marketing and sales, and finance and accounting. Depending on their areas of interest and the needs of the business, they can start with titles such as assistant specialist, chief in the mentioned departments of the businesses, and over time, they can have titles such as assistant manager, manager depending on their level of knowledge and performance. Our graduates can find jobs in private sector organizations such as banking, tourism, consulting firms, audit companies, insurance companies, foreign trade companies, transportation companies, etc. in addition to industrial establishments.

Business graduates can also work in the public sector. There are areas where business graduates can work in public banks, educational institutions, hospitals, Central Bank, Treasury Undersecretariat, Foreign Trade Undersecretariat, State Planning Organization, Capital Markets Board, Chambers of Industry and Commerce, Small and Medium Enterprises Development Unit, and even in the armed forces. However, with the transfer of businesses established by the state to the private sector (privatization) since the 1980s, the opportunities for business graduates to work in the public sector have decreased compared to the past, and their areas of work in the private sector have increased significantly.

The interdisciplinary structure of the Business Department facilitates the orientation of its graduates to many areas, and also makes it easier for employers to prefer this department.
