Program Information

The Public Relations and Publicity Department was established within the Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University Bucak Faculty of Business. It started undergraduate education in the 2019-2020 Academic Year Fall Semester. The education period is 4 years. There is no preparatory class. 

Purpose of the Program

Among the objectives of the department are to offer an academic program that has caught up with the requirements of the age and adapted itself to change; to train future public relations experts who have adopted moral values, possess problem-solving and quick-thinking abilities, can adapt to the conditions they are in, make timely decisions and implement these decisions correctly, can use new technologies, have advanced communication skills, and specialize in areas such as advertising, new media, marketing, sales, human resources, and finance; to train experts with a strong theoretical background related to the field of public relations and who can transfer this theoretical background into practice; to train qualified personnel sought by the business world; to train individuals who ponder various problems on a global, national, and regional scale, can develop solutions for these, and can contribute to social development.

The Goal of the Program

Within the framework of the goals we have set; our target is to take our place among the best Public Relations and Promotion departments, recognized for their academic and scientific achievements, and quality of education and training, in the identity of an entrepreneurial, innovative, and sharing higher education institution in national and international fields.

MISSION: To train communication professionals equipped with the communication competencies required by the era, committed to ethical values, capable of analytical thinking, effectively using digital communication tools, and possessing entrepreneurial and social responsibility awareness; to contribute to institutional and societal development at regional and national levels with the knowledge and projects produced.
