Application for Student Amnesty for the Spring Semester Under Law No. 7592

APPLICATIONS FOR THE FALL SEMESTER HAVE ENDED.

APPLICATIONS FOR THE SPRING SEMESTER will be made online through the amnesty application system until 09.12.2026 at 17:00.

 As of 21.09.2026, those who apply will be granted the right to continue their education in the relevant program starting from the Spring semester of the 2026-2027 academic year.

 Important Note: Students who will start their education in the spring semester of the 2026-2027 academic year will be considered on leave during the fall semester.

The Law No. 7592 on Higher Education, which was published in the Official Gazette dated 09.08.2026 and numbered 33335, and the 14th article of the Law on Amending Some Laws, along with the principles of implementation of the Temporary Article 85 added to the Higher Education Law No. 2547, details regarding applications are presented below.

WHO CAN APPLY?

Students who have been dismissed for any reason from all classes including preparatory classes, associate degree, undergraduate completion, undergraduate, and graduate studies at our university, as well as those who have never registered despite gaining the right to enroll in our university programs, will be able to apply.

WHO CANNOT APPLY?

Those convicted of terrorism under the Law No. 3713 dated 12.04.1991, intentional homicide crimes under the Turkish Penal Code No. 5237 dated 26.09.2004 (articles 81, 82, and 83), torture (articles 94 and 95), maltreatment (article 96), sexual assault (article 102), sexual exploitation of children (article 103), and drug or stimulant production and trafficking (article 188), those whose registration has been canceled due to false documents, those who provided false documents during registration, those who have been dismissed due to membership, affiliation, or connection with structures, formations, or groups determined by the National Security Council to be engaged in activities against the national security of the state, cannot apply.

 Status of Foreign Language Preparatory Class Students: 

Students whose registration has been canceled while in the foreign language preparatory class, those who do not meet the foreign language requirement, or those who later have a foreign language preparatory training requirement imposed on their programs and apply to continue their education will primarily be required to pass the foreign language preparatory class. If students do not meet the qualification criteria specified in the Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University Foreign Language and Preparatory Class Education-Teaching and Examination Regulation, they will be subjected to an exemption exam to be held at the beginning of the 2026-2027 academic year since the preparatory class education is annual. Detailed information regarding the foreign language proficiency exam can be accessed from the website of our university's School of Foreign Languages.

Military Status: Those who are serving their military duty at the time this law comes into effect will be able to benefit from this law if they apply to our university within 2 months following their discharge.

DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR APPLICATION 

1. For applications to associate and undergraduate programs: 

 - Criminal Record (can be obtained via e-government) 

 - OSYS Placement Document (Students who have been placed in associate and undergraduate programs but have never registered before must upload this.) 

 - Military status document for those who are serving their military duty

2. For applications to graduate programs:

 - Criminal Record (can be obtained via e-government) 

 - Diploma or Graduation Document (can be obtained via e-government - Bachelor's Diploma for Master's, Master's diploma for Doctorate and Proficiency in Art) 

 - Military status document for those who are serving their military duty

EVALUATION OF APPLICATIONS AND REGISTRATION PROCESSES

Applications of candidates with complete application documents will be evaluated. The evaluation will be discussed and decided in the Unit Management Boards, considering whether the application conditions are met, the courses and semesters for which the student will be responsible, and other relevant matters.

ADAPTATION PROVISIONS

 - All students who gain the right to register are subject to the current regulations and directives of Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University. 

 - The adaptations of all students who gain the right to register will be made according to the active curriculum being conducted in the relevant program. 

 - Adaptation processes will be evaluated by the relevant commissions of the units and decided by the unit management boards.
